London was where it all began in 2014, when we set out on a mission to make accounting useful for small businesses.
Over the past few years we've helped hundreds of small businesses and entrepreneurs focus on what they do best. Some of our clients have asked us to help them write business plans to attract new investors or secure a bank loan. Others have asked us to forecast their cash flow, so they know how to budget throughout the year. And some have asked us to do the boring bookkeeping, so they can do the parts they love - we can help with that too!
We were early adopters of cloud accounting and we were one of the first UK firms to become a Xero's platinum accountant. We've since developed a wealth of expertise in helping our clients migrate from traditional accounting software to Xero. For our clients already on Xero, we have a set of tried and test apps that plug into Xero to automate receipt processing and payments, saving time and money.
Accounts and Legal is one of only a few firms in the country to have accountants and lawyers all under one roof. That's particularly handy when it comes to areas like employment where the worlds of taxation and law often meet, and even more so when going through the process of acquiring, merging or selling a business. Having in-house lawyers also means we can help formalise arrangements between shareholders, set up EMI schemes and produce contractor agreements.
The London office is run by Keir Wright-Wyte, who worked at PwC before joining Accounts and Legal as Managing Director. Under Keir's inspirational leadership, the business has gone from strength to strength. Keir has overseen the opening of our offices in Brighton and Manchester.
