We’ve been given a platform

2 Feb 2017

Less than one year on from the beginning of our expansion to Brighton we have reached dizzy new heights, quite literally.

With our new branch gaining momentum it was time to move from our temporary base into a permanent Brightonian home, but where does a dynamic new accountancy firm set up shop?

In a dynamic new office space towering over Brighton.

On another level

As we have previously written, the Brighton business community, unlike other more hostile environments, promotes cohesiveness with free flowing advice and useful inside information being distributed throughout.

With its abundance of freelance creatives and consultants (lots of whom are clients -see here for more about our specialist services), co-working is big business in Brighton.

On the other hand, office space has caused issues for SME’s who need something slightly more formal for teams for three or four members but have been unable to move to lack of space and high rates when space is available. So what was the solution?

Well Seb Royle had one…

Thanks to information sharing from Brighton’s Chamber of Commerce we at Accounts and Legal were introduced to Seb and his exciting new concept which involves combining office space with co-working space, bringing a much needed bridge to a challenging gap for Brightonian professionals and SME’s.

The hybrid is wonderful in itself but the space only further exceeds expectations with its stylish interior, incredible sea views and member benefits; and guess who the first residents were?

Welcome

Platform 9, named so due to Brighton Station’s eight platforms, is housed on the 6th floor of Tower Point on North Road and opened its doors on December 5th. And as its first members we were treated to a very special welcome…

Co-working spaces are brilliant for professionals who need to use other professional services or would like to reach out to others for collaborative projects and Platform 9 promotes exactly that.

We will be operating an open door policy in our office and will offer advice and services to all members who should need it.

We will also be using Platform 9’s awesome boardroom facilities and communal areas for our event’s including our Brighton Business Club Meet-Ups and Tax and Accounting Drop In Surgeries.

If you are a freelancer or contractor or your operating an SME and you need somewhere to operate then check out Platform 9, it could be the next step in the development of your business.
